“Quadloop” Calibrated Loops

Quadloops are ideal for planting and streaking cultures in Petri dishes to obtain colony separation (ball end), sampling of liquids (with 10 or 1 ml loop), streaking on other supports (ball or loop), single colony collection from Petri dish and planting. Quadloop advantages: no sterilisation and subsequent cooling, with saving of time and power; no cross contamination or aerosol spread of dangerous contaminants; no scratching or gouging of agar, as often happens when using metallic loops; the ball point allows a perfect dilution streak to be made with one unit only.
