PERFORMANCE
- Single body with two contiguous aspirating heads.
- The high flow rate of 360 litres per minute (180 + 180 litres) is ideal for low contamination environments.
- Two different media types (ie. Total bacterial count and mould/yeast media) can be used for simultaneous samples.
- Up to ten sequential sampling cycles for “in operation” monitoring, according to USP recommendations.
- Faster sampling: 1000 litres of air in less than 3 minutes, where time is at issue.
- Up to 18 cubic meters of air/hour can be monitored in different cycles.
- Same air sampling method and technology as the well known Surface Air System (SAS, SAS Compact, SAS Super 90, SAS Super 90 CR,
SAS Super 100, SAS Super 180, SAS Super 180 BW).
- It can be used either with 55 mm Standard Contact Plates, 84 mm Maxi Contact Plates or 90 mm Standard Petri dishes.

PINOCCHIO-SUPER COMPRESSES GAS AND AIR MICROBIAL SAMPLER - Code: 39089/35026
It is used to test the microbiological quality of compressed air and gas used in clean rooms. “PINOCCHIO-SUPER” collects air samples either on Contact Plates (³ 55 or 84 mm) or Standard Petri Dishes (³ 90 mm). It collects more than 1000 litres of air/gas in a few minutes. The compact size provides the opportunity to locate the sampling unit where space is limited. The small size and the simple operation enable many operations to more accurately report air/gas quality and minimize false positives from operators. The unit can be easily and aseptically connected to the desired points of sample. Calibration according to International Standards.
Application - Compressed air and gas microbiological tests.
Sites of use - Pharmaceutical industries, clean-rooms.
Construction - “PINOCCHIO-SUPER” consists of connections, air flow meter, pressure gauge, tap, funnel head complete of contact plate housing.
Method of use - A) The contact plate with medium is inserted in the housing. B) PINOCCHIO-SUPER is connected to the compressed air output. C) The operator adjusts the air flow by the knob of the meter. D) The operator controls the volume of compressed air (or gas) by a timer (e.g. 10 minutes for 1000 litres of air). E) At the end the contact plate is transferred to incubator for CFU counting.

SAS-PCR PATHOGENIC MICRO-ORGANISMS AIR SAMPLER - Code: 29498
The bioterrorism actions of the recent months affirm the importance of early and accurate detection of biological pathogenic agents (e.g. Bacillus anthracis) dispersed in the air by criminal or war activity. The SAS-PCR air sampler has been specifically developed, patented and built to collect pathogenic micro-organisms dispersed in the bioaerosol for “almost in real time” detection by molecular biology tests or traditional microbiological culture tests.
Applications - The portable SAS-PCR air sampler can be used: to collect micro-organisms for the “almost in real time” detection by molecular biology tests with genetic probes; to collect endotoxins dispersed in the air by fluorescence polarisation; to collect live micro-organisms for the traditional growth on agar.
Sites of use - The SAS-PCR is the ideal choice for monitoring the presence in the air of pathogenic micro-organisms on the battlefield, in case of suspected terrorism, in the microbiological laboratory Level 3, in vaccine production areas, in waste water treatment plants.
Construction - The SAS-PR is a portable, compact and battery operated (12 V battery) instrument for use in the field. Made of sturdy metal. Collecting method: patented “recirculating bioaerosol system”. Collecting fluid: sterile isotonic liquid. Size 285¥255¥420 h mm. Weight: 19 kg.
Method of use - Air and sterile collecting fluid flow together through a nozzle and are poured into a vessel with a coil. The liquid is circulated continuously to prolong the contact time between bioaerosol and collecting liquid.
