Microbiological monitoring of surfaces “SPONGE-BAG” is the practical and economical system for monitoring Listeria, Salmonella, coliform and other pathogenic bacteria. The sponge (3.5x7.5 cm) is enclosed in airtight bag with safety sealing strip. It can be used on any type of surface, ensuring that micro-organisms get to their destination alive sustaining all their metabolic processes. The bag is provided with large writing area for clear and easy sample identification.
Application - For surfaces and carcasses.
Sites of use - Food, feed, dairy industries, meat processing plants, large catering halls, hygiene of public buildings.
Construction - Bag is made in transparent high-strength plastic material. The sterility is guaranteed by ear-off seal strap. Dehydrated sampling sponge.

SPECI-SPONGE BAGS - Code: 29024/35119
Microbiological monitoring of surfaces “SPECI-SPONGE” is a new option of traditional “Sponge-Bag”. “SPECI-SPONGE” is available three new ways: 1) with sterile phosphate buffer, 2) with sterile gloves, 3) with buffer and gloves. These options provide savings of time and money and provide a sample package with all of the necessary components required to collect a sample.
This is a practical and economical system for monitoring Listeria, Salmonella, coliform and other pathogenic bacteria. The sponge (3.5x7.5 cm) is enclosed in airtight bag with safety sealing strip. It can be used on any type of surface, ensuring that micro-organisms get to their destination alive sustaining all their metabolic processes. The bag is provided with large writing area for clear and easy sample identification. The general-purpose buffer as a pH of 6.8 and optimizes the stability of growth of most organisms.

Construction - Bag is made in transparent high-strength plastic material. The sterility is guaranteed by ear-off seal strap. Dehydrated sampling sponge.
Method of use - The vial contains 10 mL of buffer and can be opened from outside the bag. Once open, the buffer will empty into the bag and moisten the sponge. Squeeze the sponge a few times with the buffer so that it become completely saturated.
To use the polyethylene gloves, tear off the glove pack along the perforation. The gloves are packaged with the open end up so they can be put on without touching the hand area. After the sample has be collected and the sponge returned to the bag it can be sent to a lab for testing.
